This wooden oldie used to be my dressing table under the full-view mirror back when I was in high school. I found it in my parent’s garage while I was visiting for the summer, sitting in the middle of the ‘please throw me away’ pile. Because my cousin had very recently mentioned that she needed a new dresser, the first thing that came to my mind was all the ways I could redo and revamp this MCM dresser. After the flashbacks of me getting ready for prom and girls night-ins had subsided, I … [Read more...] about A Cool MCM Dresser I Finished Today! Love How It Turned Out!
Some of you might remember this fabulous, very OLD dresser that I picked up from Goodwill several weeks ago for $40 (that’s definitely in my upper spending echalons, but this baby was too charming to pass up!) I knew I could make some moolah selling it, but in my heart of hearts, I knew I was going to paint it white and keep it for my daughter’s room. A woman came by to purchase the sofa table I did several weeks ago, and asked if I had any dressers. I hesitantly showed her this one, … [Read more...] about My Daughter’s New (Old) Dresser

You’ll … [Read more...] about A Funky Lamp Transformation and Tutorial

The stamp on the bottom said that these are from Henredon Fine Furniture, which (I learned from Google) is a very hoity toity big deal furniture company. They are very well made and comfy chairs. I showed you in my last post how they looked when I brought them home from the … [Read more...] about Damask and Denim

I really like alliteration. Better get used to it. Though I am an extreme newbie to blogging (having only begun within the last hour) I have spent many-an-hour on many-a-day pouring over the blogs of wonderful, creative, and entertaining women. Women who, I must say, I feel like I know. I've been incredibly inspired by likes of Miss Mustard Seed, Holly of Life in the Fun Lane and White Berry, and Lisa at Recaptured Charm, each of whom have been able to forge a business out of beautifying old … [Read more...] about A Comfy Cast-off OR A Turquoise Transformation
